The Final Shift

You’ve already made the decision.

You’ve probably made it before.

This is the session that makes it stick.

Most people who book this session have tried before. The difference is that this time, something underneath the habit finally shifts.

The Reality

You’ve likely tried before.

You may have stopped for a while — and then found yourself back in it.
Not because you lack discipline, but because something deeper hasn’t shifted.

At a certain point, it stops being about willpower.

You’re simply ready to be done.

That’s exactly who this session is for.

The Shift

The Final Shift is not another attempt.

It’s one session — structured, focused, and built entirely around you — designed to make stopping feel less like a fight and more like a decision you’ve already made.

No programme. No going back to square one. No willpower required.

Just a clear turning point, for people who are ready for one.

One session. Ninety minutes. Built entirely around you.

Why This Works Differently

You don’t go back to smoking because you lack discipline.

You go back because the habit is still connected to something — stress, relief, a moment to yourself, a feeling of needing something to get through the day. Willpower can hold that at bay. But it can’t dissolve it.

That’s what this session is designed to do.

We begin with a focused conversation so I can understand your smoking pattern, your reasons for stopping, and what you are choosing instead. The hypnotherapy is then shaped around what you have shared, so the session speaks directly to your own experience rather than following a generic script.

In a deeply relaxed state, the mind is often more receptive to new associations, imagery, and decisions. This allows the choice to stop smoking to land more deeply — not just as something you logically know you want, but as something you begin to experience differently from within.

What Happens in the Session

The session begins with a focused conversation about your smoking pattern — when it happens, what it gives you, what tends to pull you back, and what you are choosing instead.

This conversation matters. It allows the hypnotherapy to be tailored to you, using language, imagery, and suggestions that are relevant to your own life and reasons for stopping.

From there, we move into guided hypnotherapy. You remain aware and in control throughout, but the relaxed state allows the work to bypass some of the overthinking, resistance, and inner negotiation that can make change feel difficult.

The aim is not to fight the habit. The aim is to help the decision to stop feel clearer, stronger, and easier to live from.

A Note on Where We Are

The Final Shift is a new practice. I don’t yet have a wall of testimonials to show you — and I’d rather be honest about that than fill this page with vague claims.

What I can tell you is this: I work with one person at a time, I take each session seriously, and I won’t take a booking I don’t believe is the right fit.

If you’d like to ask a question before booking, the suitability form is there for exactly that reason.

Before You Book

This session is for people who are ready to stop smoking completely.

Before we begin, you’ll be asked to dispose of any cigarettes, vapes, tobacco, nicotine products, lighters, or anything connected to smoking that you do not intend to use afterwards.

This is part of treating the session as a clear turning point — not another attempt.

If you feel clear and ready, you can book directly.

If you have a specific question about suitability before booking, please use the contact form first.

The Person Behind the Session

Elizabeth, practitioner for The Final Shift stop smoking sessions

Hi, I’m Elizabeth

I work with people who are ready to stop smoking — not almost ready, not thinking about it, but done with going back and forth and clear that this time is different.

My background is not what you might expect. Before training in hypnotherapy, I spent years in investment banking, and later retrained as a birth and postpartum doula.

Those two worlds taught me a great deal about people — how they make decisions under pressure, what they need to feel safe enough to change, and how much of what holds us back lives beneath the surface rather than in our conscious thinking.

I came to hypnotherapy through my doula work, initially as a way to expand the support I offer to clients during pregnancy. But as I trained, I kept noticing something: the same capacity for deep, lasting change that I was witnessing in one context was available to people in many others. Stopping smoking was one of the clearest examples.

I am calm, warm, and genuinely non-judgemental — people often tell me they found it easy to open up, and that they felt heard in a way they hadn’t expected. I’m also someone who has had my own moments of scepticism about this kind of work, which I think makes me a better practitioner. I know what it feels like to doubt. And I know what it feels like when something shifts anyway.

I am currently completing my hypnotherapy certification. I work with one client at a time, and I take that seriously.

If you are ready to stop — properly, and for good — I’d like to help you do that.
